About Project

The MEDiterranean pathWAY for innovation CAPitalisation toward an urban-rural integrated development of non-conventional water resources (MEDWAYCAP) aims to adopt non-conventional water (NCWR) valorisation and management in the Mediterranean region through the promotion of sustainable strategies, best practices and innovative technologies.

The objective is to fully integrate NCWR resources into the water governance scheme and to provide investment and business opportunities in the context of the circular economy. To this end, the project set up this platform for capitalization and sharing of know-how, an in-depth dialogue on better water governance with the integration of NCWR that will lead to real improvements in the water situation in the Mediterranean basin countries.

In addition, this project works to empower local communities by creating investment opportunities and new jobs related to water management in rural and urban areas.
